Bill Page Speaks…
One of the most poplar educational speakers in the nation for the past 25 years

A veteran educator with more than 30 years of experience teaching at-risk students was the featured keynote speaker, recently, at the State Conference of the Texas Council of Administrators of Special Education in Austin, January 24, 2006. Page’s presentation, “What Every Special Education Administrator Needs to Know”, was made to an audience of 1,100 educators, who gave a spontaneous standing ovation. Bill’s most recent staff development program was February 1st at Deer Valley, Arizona. Unified School District, one of the state’s largest.

The education reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, after following Page’s project with “troublemakers” for three years called Bill, “America’s favorite classroom teacher; and The Manitoba Provincial Teacher Magazine labeled him “A Teacher’s Teacher all because his unique message gets at the heart of attitude change, personal responsibility, and individual initiative for all administrators, principals, and teachers. As a nationally know motivational, inspirational speaker, he has a humorous, entertaining, dynamic style with a sincere, sensible, profound message. His staff development presentations are fresh, original, down[to-earth and thoroughly enjoyable.

During his more than 30 years of classroom experience, Bill’s proudest achievement is the remarkable success he has achieved in closing the gap between successful students and those at-risk, school-alienated, learning disabled and “troublemakers in heterogeneous groupings in regular classes. Bill shares his unique experiences by relating to teachers as a fellow teacher not as an ivory tower expert.

  • He taught a civics class of 527 ninth graders every day in an auditorium.
  • He taught a completely individualized math class of 93 seventh graders.
  • He taught hundreds of low achievers and they succeeded!
  • He taught in reform schools, inner city schools and elite suburban schools.
  • He taught 14 different courses at 86 universities including 26 consecutive summer courses at the University of California at Riverside, San Diego, Irvine, Santa Barbara and Davis.

Bill has been in the trenches. With humor, clarity and commonsense, Bill has informed, inspired and motivated more than 100,000 teachers – and administrators – at hundreds of seminars and conferences in more than 2,000 school districts throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Bill Page has a special message to help teachers cope with at-risk kids, who don’t won’t or can’t cooperate, follow procedures, get involved or even try to learn. Perhaps his most outstanding and memorable offering is to administrator meetings, conferences and retreats where bill, unaffected and “uncontaminated by the usual jargon, official positions, unchallenged tradition, and insidious myths, offers a wake-up call. Bill Page is a wake-up call.

Since the 2006 publication of his book, “At-Risk Students”, Bill also speaks through, with and from the vase of his concern for the plight of millions of struggling students condemned to a life of failure, embarrassment and abuse by well-meaning teachers and inhumane educational policies. Bill and his book are both accessible online at http://www.teacherteacher.com/

“I highly recommend Bill Page because what he has to say is immediately implementable and useful for all educators. He does this in a very commonsense, humorous and user-friendly manner.”
